CR at Asgard

Castmates

Lord Voldemort
The Dark Lord
flightofdeath No longer in Asgard.

Meeting his Lord at such a young age has been rather disconcerting at times. But enough of the true Dark Lord was there, even if he still needed to come into his true self. Nonetheless, Barty's respect for who he already was and who he'd come to be never wavered. At the very start he has asked him for a name and received one and without prompting he has been granted a rune he still wears on his right forearm.

Harry Potter
The Boy Who Lived (regrettably)
livedtwice

His opinion on Harry Potter hasn't changed since coming here. He has always respected his courage and loyalty, traits that he ascribes to himself as well. On the other hand, he doesn't think him too bright and his righteousness trite at best and enraging at worst. He sees him mostly at Dumbledore's puppet, but one that can be dangerous in his own right.

Albus Dumbledore
It's Complicated
palebee

Complicated indeed. Of course he has known Dumbledore or, at the very least, known of him as long as he can remember. But that Dumbledore has been different. The old headmaster, his Lord's most dangerous enemy, the man he had to work hardest to fool. At least the latter still holds true. Discovering that he could actually manage to get closer to Dumbledore, Albus, to whatever end through seduction had been strange at first, but then actually fallen into place quite naturally. At the same time, as he learned more about the man Albus is and would become, of just how twisted his web of manipulation had been at times, he developed a new fascination with him, aided by growing physical attraction as well. He never once wavered in his own beliefs and loyalties, but there is still a part that idly wonders 'What if?', while the rest of him waits for the chance to have it crash and burn.

Severus Snape

There is barely anyone else he hates with as much passion while also respecting him on an at least close to equal level. Other Death Eaters, former and current, he might hate as well for denying their cause and cowardly behavior that reeks of opportunism, but those he also looks down on. Not so Severus. Since he has learned of the Lily connection, he understands the causes and timeline for his betrayal better. He despises Severus for being treacherous, but even more for having had and used opportunities that weren't given to Barty for various reasons. No wonder that he now has his sight set on crushing his soul as best he can.

Merope Riddler
The Mother
darkmum

Barty isn't delusional. He doesn't equate Merope with his own mother, but he sees similarities. Sees the weakness he ascribes to his mother as well, the love for the wrong man and the downfall it led to. Her love for her son, who - despite his loyalty - Barty knows doesn't deserve it further solidifies the parallel. For those reasons she is easily the person in Asgard he cares for the most. There is no bigger plan to the happiness and freedom he wants her to experience.

Draco Malfoy
The Ferret
wasthemaster

Draco is a ferret. A coward, a spoiled little rich boy whose father Barty hates, as he thinks him an opportunist with more money than courage. Nepotism is the strength of the Malfoy family and in Barty's eyes Draco hasn't had any of the more positive traits passed down from his mother's side. However, seeing the changes in him now that he's met him in Asgard have intrigued him more than he thought someone like him could. He doesn't despise him the way he does his father, but he knows of how his Lord got rid of what offended him most about him and he can see doing something similar, because Malfoy needs to learn a thing or two about respect. And pain.

Lily Potter
The Sacrifice
dilectio

While he knew of her in school, Lily has never made a big impression on him. Prefect, later headgirl, excellent student. He took enough note to know who she was and of course he knows about her involvement with the Order, but she never seemed important for her own sake. Truthfully learning of her sacrifice being the reason for Harry's immunity and, here in Asgard, about Severus' love for her has only solidified that impression. The very welcoming way she acted toward Peter upon his arrival has confused him, since he'd not have thought her (or anyone) that naively, stupidly nice.

James Potter
The Marauder
heorot

Much like Lily, James never made much of an impression on him. Of course he knows him, first from the Marauder days and later on through his activity in the Order and, of course, his son's involvement in bringing about the end of the First Wizarding War. He has a farily good assessment of him though, perhaps ironically largely through the very man who betrayed him, Peter Pettigrew. In Asgard, he hasn't given him much reason to care one way or the other, but he keeps him in mind.

Remus Lupin
The Precedessor
theshabbiestofmen

His knowledge of Remus is mostly through being told, but in his disguise as Moody and as his successor as DADA teacher, he has learned more details than the general public. He knows of the man's werewolfism and that helped him piece together a puzzle of his personality, which has been helped by the conversations they have had in Asgard, in disguise and outside of it.

Hermione Granger
The Mudblood
brainiest

The brightest witch of her generation. Certainly, but that would be more impressive if anyone else in that generation knew how to light up a room. Barty sees her as too self righteous and rash in her judgment, often leading to circular arguments to justify herself. He thinks she would greatly benefit from a more open mind. Alternatively, an open artery or two might do. Ever since he's seen the 'mudblood' scar, he has been itching to know how she received it. He believes it might have been Bellatrix and he remembers Bellatrix and her intensity, her insanity, her ever so wicked ways. He'd love to make Hermione recount it all, down to the smallest detail, perhaps while cutting into her himself. Bellatrix brings it out in him.

Peter Pettigrew

Wormtail. He has gotten to know him in person over a short, yet intense period of time when they worked together to set the plan into motion that would return Voldemort to power. He sees him as ambitious, however with ambitions he considers infinitely smaller than his own and he sees him as weak, but useful. Now that he's in Asgard he is testing how far along he is and learning how he changed to become the man who has spent years as a rat, the man that he could work with.

Neville Longbottom
The Chosen One
adjunct

Out of all the people from his world, Barty believes that Neville is the only one from his world who is underestimated. Everyone else, in his opinion, either doesn't deserve the esteem they are held in or is seen correctly. But Neville has potential. He actually feels a sense of pride in seeing how much of it he appears to have reached already, but he definitely thinks there is more inside him still. The question is how to draw it out and the answer should worry Neville.

Narcissa Malfoy (nee Black)
The Sister
silkandmirrors

Truthfully Barty doesn't know Narcissa well. There's a considerable (no offense) age gap and she has never been a Death Eater. Her sister, however, has, and it's through her that Barty respects her, at least enough to be polite and hold her in higher esteem than he would normally, given her offspring and spouse. But her condescending tone, in his opinion justified by nothing, is grating, so that courtesy might not extend indefinitely.

Other Canons

The Master
The Roommate
standsonhigh

He doesn't trust the Master, but trust is not what their relationship is about. Instead they use each other without exploiting, because they have found a good balance with what they can be to one another. For different reasons they both prefer company to being alone, the Master at times brings out more whimsy in a bitter Barty than he would have thought himself capable of and while so far they haven't truly plotted together, they definitely appreciate what destructive intellect the other possesses, cultural differences aside. Also, the Master really likes Barty's face, when he doesn't hate it.

Will Graham
The Special Someone
infomodder

There has been a strangeness to their relationship from the start and Barty has lingering thoughts about it, because the way Will initially talked to him and the question he asked seemed just a little off, even aside from all the weirdness that just comes with Will. He suspects Will has talked to someone from his world, perhaps even about him, but he can't know for sure and he hasn't yet asked. But that is only how his interest initially started, very quickly this faded into the background as they very abruptly got to know more of each other than perhaps either of them would have liked. Ultimately Barty feels that this acquaintance is rather worthwhile, they meet regularly and he sees ways to make it more worthwhile still.

John "Pyro" Allerdyce
The Student
outofcontrol

Pyro is really easy to manipulate and he has a lot of destructive anger within him. That makes him perfect for some of Barty's purposes and he is ever so glad to have gotten to know him so well. He hopes to be able to lead him to something big, sooner or later. A useful arsenal and quite entertaining as an unknowing toy.

Jade Harley
The Emotive One
nukeoleptic

At first it was all: (∩`-´)⊃━☆゚.*・。゚ and (^-^)b
leading to ヾ(@^∇^@)ノ ヾ(・ω・*)ノ

then it was all: (´⊙ω⊙`)!and (⌣_⌣”)

and now it's all: ლ(ಠ益ಠლ

Jamie Moriarty
The Intrigue
considered

She fascinates him. He could watch her slip from role to role for hours, although he wouldn't care to refrain from touching her for that long. Her mind is what really makes her desirable to him, but even aside from any attraction he feels, he enjoys her company and wants to see what she might do next. Perhaps one day they can work together again.

Jim Moriarty
The Spider
grimmig

He is still just getting to know this Moriarty, but it is always flattering to know that someone recognizes and appreciates what you truly are. He does compare and contrast the two of them and it is quite likely that as he spends more time with Jim, a similar fascination as he has for Jamie will develop.

Anders Johnson
The Drinking Buddy
sweettalk

Their relationship is strange. On the one hand, it's very shallow but between him being among the first to talk to Barty after he arrived in Asgard and them accidentally sharing more than intended when powers were out of control, they also know more than should be expected for casual acquaintances. Barty isn't sure himself why he feels so at ease around him, but it definitely makes him good company for a drink.

The Tenth Doctor

He doesn't actually know him that well apart from second hand (haha, get it?) knowledge through the Master. But he has to admit, quite frankly, he's absolutely gorgeous.

The Eleventh Doctor

He really doesn't know him much, apart from what the Master has told him, but his righteousness is already mildly annoying him. On the other hand, he gives advice on how to handle the Master, even if he then wants to take it back.

Evelyn "Evy" Carnahan
The Librarian
proudofwhatiam

He doesn't know her all that well, but after a shallow acquaintance while using his pseudonym and seeing her actually interested in finding out more when he revealed some facts about Severus Snape, she has risen in his esteem. That she is so close to quite a lot of people that matter to him for various reason makes her even more interesting. He definitely keeps track of her.

Alice Liddell
The Girl
madcuriosity

The most interesting thing about Alice is why everyone seems that interested in her. Probably mostly being protective, but still. He talks to her and looks for potential, although he knows that the value his Lord saw in her has largely been lost when Harry informed Asgard of who Voldemort is.

Zevran Arainai
The Teacher
tumbler

He taught him a better use of knives, even two at the same time, and that is something he's valuing highly in a world without magic. He would appreciate future lessons and the world the man, elf comes from interests him, too.

Satan
The Devil
granddevil

A new but eye-catching presence in Asgard and one Barty is faintly amused by, having knowledge of religion but no personal stake in them. He has made a deal with the Devil, but it went pretty well.

Sebastian Moran
The Stand-up Man
tigers

Hands on your knees, hands on your hips

Hands on your shoulders, hands on your head.

Up, down, turn around, everybody clap.

Up, down, turn around, everybody clap.

Come on. Hands on your knees, hands on your hips

Hands on your shoulders, hands on your head.

Up, down, turn around, everybody clap.

Up, down, turn around, everybody clap.

Loki
The Trickster God
asgardstricks

Not really that much to say. In Barty's experience he's a huge dick, but sometimes a huge dick is exactly what you need.
